To create a zoo that people want to visit, a player must collect animals. When a players water zoo is successful, he may want to expand it. When a players animal basins are full, he must place additional animals into his depot, which loses him points at game end. When a player makes skillful use of his coworkers, he can gain additional points. The player with most points wins.

5A stand up sequel  Sep 24, 2008 By Nelly Martínez
As it predecessor is a very good game. Evidently some ideas where taken from Zooloretto expansions, but the game is very original.

The integration as 'Zooloretto expansion' is not that good. I had imagined that it could be much more interchangeable in its mechanics but in the end is like plying 2 separate games at the same time, sharing the incomes.

However, is a fair con for a game that is also a stand alone, and is very good as it. And many people would find it easier this way than to mix everything.

Don't be deceived for the very colorful and childlike looking of the game. The strategy and mechanics will make most adults scratch their scalp and rub their chins for the most part of the play. It is very good game for all ages.

If you are interested you can easily find the manual and much more information online.

5good family game for kids 10+  Sep 08, 2009 By B. Einhorn
I enjoy board games and have owned/played well over 100.

This is a nice family game because its fun, interesting, doesnt take too long (game seems to end 1-2 turns too early), and not too complex.

The basic idea is you have an aquatic park that can hold 3 types of animals. If you want an additional type you must expand. As your park fills up you also need to expand. Gameplay consists of selecting a random animal chit and placing it in one of several trucks (that hold up to 3 animals) for delivery to one of the players. Alternatively you can take a truck and place the animals on it into your park. The catch is - animals must be placed adjacent to animals of teh same type, so you can run out of space. Surplus animals count against you at the end of the game. As you place animals you gain coins that can be used to expand your park.

The challenge is to place animals on trucks so that they do not benefit the other players (ex: 2 polar bears on the same truck - the next player may take them) and so that the contents of that truck will be useful to you, while at teh same time making sure that the trucks remain useful to you. You may have to take an unwanted animal to get two that you want. There are some bells and whistles like certain animals will reporuce and give you a bonus baby animal, or soem animals have fish symbols on them, and if you hire a keeper you get extra victory points at teh end.

The game is similar to Coloretto (a card based game that was the first in this series)
Its a decent game, it gets a 5 instead of a 4 because its a lot betetr than most games.
