Looking a little closer Apr 13, 2010
By DC_Fan_52
"-Weasel!"
Oh, there's not much to say about these sleeves in particular. I just want to point out that these aren't a perfect duplication of the back of a Magic Card. The logo is different, for starters. A real Magic Card has the word "Magic" written in blue with a red/orange boarder, while these use yellow with red. Plus, it's missing "Deckmaster" which is printed near the bottom half of a normal Magic Card.
The other side of these sleeves, at least in the case of mine, are white. I think its a very good choice. The white surrounding the normal black boarder of a Magic Card give it an elegant and clean feeling. They're also nice and glossy.
Getting 80 for $8 sure beats out other Ultra Pro offerings - Ultra-PRO Solid Color Deck Box: Black. Even if they come with a deck box, these only come with 50 sleeves, useless when a Magic Deck is 60 cards minimum. Sure you could buy two or more to rectify this mistake, but there's no guarantee that the sleeves inside the deck box will have the same pattern or be the same TONE of black. I've had that happen to me a few times.

Protects your cards! Aug 10, 2011
By T No complaints about construction, but why the shiny holographic circle on the play side of the card? The dot is really pretty big-- bigger than "O" for a standard size font. It's also holographic silver, so it's not exactly inconspicuous. I'd prefer the front to be entirely clear and there's no indication it's not on the packaging photo, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if there had been, so a sincere "well-played" on that trick.
Are there people out there that need a marker on the front of their card protector proving it's a GENUINE UTLRAPRO (TM) (R)? If I were such a person, I would give this product 5 stars.

Best sleeves for your money Mar 09, 2011
By Jabawocky777 I've tried several different sleeves, and these are the best for me. It DOES take some getting used to when shuffling, but I youtube'd a how to, and now it's actually easier than NOT having the sleeves. Great product and great service.

Look no further Jun 29, 2010
By Paul French If you're reading this review, you already know what these sleeves are for. They're meant to protect your cards, right? Having used several sub-par brands in the past (one of which was so cheaply made that the sleeves' upturned edges stuck together, actually making shuffling HARDER), I've been pleased with these. The finish is very smooth and durable, and the classic Magic background print is, in my opinion, far superior to dragons or whatever. Order several.
Not an Exact Match Oct 11, 2011
By Steve Joiner First off, these are standard UltraPro sleeves. If you've used UltraPro before, then you know what you'll be getting. If you haven't, you should note that any of the UltraPro sleeves with graphics are smooth and shiny, as opposed to the matte finish on the solid color sleeves.
Also, these are the newer UltraPro design, which are slightly smaller, resulting in a tighter fit. This is a good thing...the new size is superior to the old.
However, as another reviewer noted, the graphic does not exactly match the back of a Magic: The Gathering card. The differences are:
1. The "Magic" logo is yellow instead of blue.
2. The "Deckmaster" is missing.
3. The entire graphic is much darker than the back of a MTG card.
Regarding difference 3, it is pretty obvious. When these arrived, I immediately noticed the color difference without having to compare to an actual card. To me, the additional darkness makes these sleeves look ugly, and I will be replacing them soon.
I really wish they could have done a better job on the graphics. I really liked the idea of these sleeves.
