Really nice and large Chess set Sep 17, 2010

I purchased this chess set to play with my young kids.
I wanted a large set so they will be able to easily see the chessman, I wanted it to be durable so we can take it with us when we are going outdoors - picnics and campings. I wanted a wooden one and not a cheap plastic set, just like the one I used to have when I was a child and my father taught me the secrets of the game.
I wanted the set to have algebraic chess notations (A-H and 1-8) for myself when I practice from chess books.
It has it all!!!
The item arrived relatively quick, packed well and in perfect condition.
It is a Chess set for years to come.
I am happy with it.

This chess set is not as nice as I would expect from a set this far up the product ladder and this price. My grandson plays with the set every day (six years old) and loves it. The quality is pritty good, but the pads are not on streight and the stain is uneven. Could be better.

Very classy chess set. Beautiful hand carved pieces with a board that you will want to keep on the coffee table to impress your friends. There's probably no such thing as a bad chess set, as playing the game is the best part, but this one exudes elegance.

This chess set is nice and big. I love playing with this set over the smaller sets. Pieces are very well crafted and have a good weight to them. Bought this set for my daughter and she loves to play visitors. If you are looking for a good quality chess set that will last and not cost a lot of money I would say this is the one to get.

Great chess set, I like the quality of each piece, you can tell the manufacturers take pride in delivering a good product and it shows. Only thing I wish it had was a handle but that's not a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for something for than an average chess set. This is a set that will last for many years to come if you take good care of it.
