This Superman is awesome! the best out there..the face is so cool the "S" is perfect and he looks handsome and strong I got this for my two year old because he loves the new series, he will get it on christmas and I'm sure he will be delighted,I was hesitand between all the ones out there but I just got it and I'm SURE is the best looking one it has that new better superman all over it! it is so nice I just went on line and got the Batman from the same series for my big boy (my husband).

**UPDATE** The durability of this figure at the joints (articulation points) is horrible. My son only flies him around the house and both feet broke off at the knee-caps after a month. Very Very Very DISAPPOINTING. MY old DC figures from the 80's have held up better than this POS. The figure is large, and has a solid body, but the joints just crack and break . BOOO!!! I wish I could ask for my money back. You get what you pay for.
I am a huge collector of all things Comics and Action Figures.
POSITIVE(S):
- This is, by far, one of the best made molds of an action figure since my toys from the 80's. The entire body mold is durable, thick, and seems like it could take a beating.
- The colors are bright, and the figure stands 3-4 inches above the rest of my child's, and my, toy figures.
- The actual sculpture of superman resembles some of the older DC comics renditions of Superman, which is what caught my eye. I am NOT a fan of the newer renditions of Superman. They are too "bubbly" for me.
NEGATIVE(S):
- The paint on the red tights started to come off after only 10 minutes of playing with the figure. My child is NOT rough with his toys at all, but for some reason it started to peel off. Eek!
- Toy companies are still "painting" their toys rather than using some older processes of die casted molds, or quality injection molding, where they infuse colors into the resin or plastic before injecting it in the model. This makes for a much more durable toy/figure, maybe duller colors, but they last longer.
- The arm and leg joints are plastic with a plastic pin. (Not aluminum like some other brands). I fear that after a bit of use they will crack and Superman will have no forearms or feet. **Update** My fear came true, both feet broke off at the knees.
This is why I didn't give it all 5 stars.
- If only the overseas companies would understand that toys become collector items, so the better they manufacturer the more they are worth later on.

For a superman figure, I have to say it is one of the best I have seen, I bought it this year for my four year old son who wanted a superman action figure for xmas, I could not find any superman around the stores, so I decided to order it here and I was satisfied with the packaging and the condition it was in. I was also amazed how fast it got here, made my sons christmas!!!

This figure comes from the artwork of Last Son the run of Action Comics that was co-written with Richard Donner of Superman movie fame. From the artwork of Adam Kubert comes this action figure which captures the ideal image of every Superman I every had and puts it into one figure. This is also the most durable figure I have ever purchased or at least it feels like it. I still wouldn't go into heavy playing unless you can fix up the paint smears.
Even though I can't pose it this is my favourite Superman Actiong Figure and just maybe my favourite figure. He's sturdy though at the price of articulation, almost like a statue, it was at first hard to get anything to move and when I did oh god how I began to love this figure.
Now your figure might have these panting problems that can be fixed with a minor touch up. The thing is that sometimes the hair has spots of skin color in it where it wasn't fully painted, I just use a black that is as glossy as that, just a dab of it and I can't tell the difference and I believe on spot of yellow on the blue, but that's the least flaw that I have ever found in an action figure, you will not believe my bad luck.
He stands tall and mighty with a stand in the Superman symbol, just buy this figure if you're a superman fan you will not be dissapointed unless you don't like statue like action figures and I mean really don't like, like hate them with a passion, otherwise buy this figure already!
