The details aren't as crisp as the picture, and some of the dice I received in the set were malformed. Not unusably malformed, but for dice this expensive, they should be better quality than regular old cheapo dice.

It's nice to be the first guy on your block to have a set of Cthulhu dice, but if you're actually planning on playing a heated game with these, things are going to be held up here and there as you squint to see the numbers: they're not obvious.

I bought this for my brother in law, who is a DM for his own campaign of D&D with a group of friends. He is quite happy with this. I dunno about the durability of the product since he's only had it for about 8 days, but he seems pleased so far.

These dice look better than anything else out there. The patterns look really good and they are well-made.
I have no idea why other reviewers say they shouldn't be used often or they aren't as good as pictured. The picture is so low-res you can't see how good the patterns are, and it's not like the dice will explode if you play with them too much.
I also recommend the Arkham Horror dice, which are also made by Q-Workshop. They look even better than these, but they're only D6's.

I got these as gift from my wish list by my wife, and I totally love them! They are very detailed, yet bear in mind they are more of an occasional set of dice to use than your everyday roll em and throw em away dice you use for those gaming nights with your friends, those that spill beer,power drinks, chip crumbs and whatnot all around.
They are mostly a collection item, yet very very nice looking.
A must if you like Call of Chtulu D20 or just the two d10's for regular CoC for percentile rolls :D
