Overpriced, but cool / useful Dec 30, 2009
By Matthew Eland The package includes five standard six sided dice that are intended for use with Arkham Horror. The dice are of standard size and are labeled from 1 to 6 with decorative patterns.
Pros: - They look very nice; much better than standard dice - The arcane look of the dice definitely matches the feel of the board game - They can be used for other games since they have the standard labels - 5 and 6 have their numbers in the corner and the Arcane Horror unique item symbol (a star) in the middle of the side. This is useful because 5 and 6 indicate success in most situations so you can quickly take a glance at the dice and determine how many successes were rolled without actually reading the dice
Cons: - If you're not using the dice for Arkham Horror or your character is blessed, cursed, or another situation that would make the number required for a successful roll change, the stars become distracting and unreliable - The price is pretty high for these

Great Dice for your Arkham Horror experience Jun 30, 2010
By Czar Matt I've had these dice for about two months now. As an avid Arkham Horror player I figured it would be nice to have a set tailored specifically for this great game.
The Elder Sign symbols on the 5 and 6 side of the dice set makes rolling successes easy to read and adds a thematic flair to the game table. I purchased a small draw-string bag with an Elder Sign symbol on it to accompany these dice as well. I'm thinking about picking up a second set as you are often rolling more than 5 dice in a typical game of Arkham Horror.
It would be nice if they made blessed and cursed sets of dice as well. Red dice with only the Elder Sign on the 6 for cursed; and likewise, blue dice with Elder Signs on 4, 5 and 6 side would make a nice addition to this dice set.
Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend any Arkham Horror player pick up a set to game with.

Its exactly what it looks like. Oct 26, 2010
By Godlike This is 5 dice that are themed after the Arkham horro game. Most success in this game are rolled on a 5 or a 6 and thus thier is a star (elder star) on the 5 and 6 so you can count the dice faster. The 5 and the 6 still have the numbers on them. These do not add to any aspect of the game besides the looks. If you get these dice expecting anything more then 5 pretty six sided dice then you will be let down. I personally think they are a couple dollars overpirced, but you know what your over paying for and its not by a large sum. Saying that, they are some cool looking dice and the box it comes in looks neat. I keep them in the box because I think it looks nice. As long as you know what to expect you will not be let down.

An Unhealthy Addiction Aug 26, 2010
By Timothy Walker Seriously, Q-Workshop, this is just wrong. I love Arkham Horror, and I like to have nice things, but what diabolical magick did you enchant these dice with that compelled my wife to purchase them from our local game store? On the trip when she PROMISED she wasn't going to buy anything! Something sinister surely lurks within these little cubes.
That said, if you make the set with blessed/cursed variants that other reviewers have suggested, we'll probably buy those too. They look cool, they work, and they're only overpriced until they're paid for.

Cool colors! Jul 25, 2011

These are nifty and very cool. They can be a little hard to see at times, but the black and green colors are just so darn cool! I also own the white ones, which are a little easier to see, but are not as cool. A great addition to Arkham Horror.
