Great intro to microbiology/personal care for kids Jul 26, 2007

This was my child's first giant microbe and the one that hooked him onto all of their products. He first saw this guy in a display at the science center during a class field trip and convinced me to take him back that weekend to see it for myself. These are great products. Rhinovirus in particular is cute, soft, cuddly, and pretty durable. I would recommend this one as also being good for the younger scientists (over age 3 per product recommendations) as the subject is not as serious as some of the others (black death, ebola) and this one is more durable than some of the others. Information tag is attractive and incredibly educational, do not lose it. Highly recommended.

This is just the cutest germ I've ever seen. It is a very good way to teach young children about germs and give them a nice visual they can play with.

I really love these microbes. My boyfriend and I will send these to each other and our loved ones when they get a bug of some sort. Being sick is no fun but it's fun to have a trophy of sorts, especially when you had something really terrible. They're great to perk someone up or just for a cute collection and it's pretty awesome to see how things look. I love anything cute and fun. They are great quality too.
