5The Definite Black Canary?  Feb 11, 2010 By P. Dukefos
As with the other stautes in this series, this one is based on a cover by Mr. Hughes.
It's not a toy though, so rating it's educational value feels kinda wrong.
But this is how the Black Canary is suppoes to look. And this time they even got the fishnets right. Well done, sirs!

5Great Statue  Dec 29, 2009 By The Saint "Simon Templar"
Very nice likeness of the new Black Canary from the new Justice League comic. Statue is beautifully sculpted and even has the fishnet stockings material over the legs. A very nice addition to the DC Cover Girls statue.

5Black Canary, sculpted in all her confident, butt kicking, graceful, and gorgeous glory, is perfect as always. A+!!!  Jun 23, 2011 By R. A. McDowell "WWSista"
I don't even have the right words for how terrific this statue looks. It doesn't begin to do 'Justice' to the quality and detail of the sculpt and the vibrant paint job. It captures the simple elegance and grace, as well as Canary's trademark confidence, perfectly. She looks as if she's either about to whip some villain butt, or spar with Green Arrow and make him eat dirt. LOL I was AMAZED and how detailed the painted fishnet stockings seemed to be, only to discover that they put ACTUAL fishnet fabric over the legs! Regardless, if you are a Black Canary fan then this sculpture is absolutely worth every penny, and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks so much for you time folks.
Sincerely, R.A. McDowell

5Flawed But Still Great  Dec 27, 2012 By BGMchocolate
I'll get down to the nitty gritty and skip all the creative writing mumbo jumbo that I usually do for these statues.

Pros:
-The fishnet is a real treat to the eye and compliments this statue extremely nicely!
-The details on the face are spot on and convey a real sense of realism.
-The body of the statue is sculpted finely and lends credibility of Black Canary being paused in the motion of cracking her knuckles after dishing out justice.
-Details on the shoes are not skipped and you can actually see boot laces!

Not so great:
-There seem to be protruding paint chips along the edges of her hair on my statue.
-The pegs on her left leg extend beyond the needed length and actually makes the statue look like it's standing on one leg (right leg). One leg is longer than the other if I look at it.
-There is a very visible line of knitted fabric behind the thighs where the fishnets come together. Frontal view looks great, backside view not so much.

The ugly:
I don't know how this could have happened but my statue came in all wobbly. After a cursory check I found out that one of the rubber feet were completely worn away. I had to mend that with some double sided mounting tape to make the base even again. It's easy to fix but it shouldn't have to be fixed to start with since I bought the statue full MSRP price.
