please read directions Jan 09, 2009
By Meow Works great really I love it and its all I ever wanted. I have already damaged it in the first 20 minutes out of the box. Do not let water collect at the bottom where its on the stand it will leave a mark like its still wet even when its dry. (the water doesn't drip off into water basin, dry it immediately) this is written in the directions.

Buddha Board ~ very Zen. :) Sep 24, 2007
By M. Pettengill A unique product which accomplishes precisely what it was intended for: ~ create and then let go. Watching your creative work gently fade away as it evaporates keeps you living in the moment, for sure. I haven't yet mastered painting with water (can anyone?), but it's fun to try. I keep the Buddha Board in my office and co-workers stop by to release their creative energy. The most amusing drawing was a Chesire Cat, who disappeared just like in Alice's Wonderland :)

Live in the Moment Jul 09, 2007
By R. M. Russell we bought these for the store I work at, and I love 'em. You simply dip the brush in water and paint on the surface. There is also a paper on the left of the mini board if you want to write a card.
In a moment your art creation appears, you enjoy it, and then three to five minutes later, it disappears and you create a new masterpiece. Also, the paper last for a while.
very Zen, in the moment, relaxing and no pressure to be artist of the year--just fun.

Environmentally Friendly Creativity Tool Aug 16, 2008
By Lauralibby I saw the Buddha Board at a hotel in Rhode Island and I thought it was the coolest thing. The artist dips a paintbrush into water and draws on the ceramic board. The image lasts a short while and then evaporates. Take a photo if you want to keep the image.
How better to help save the environment as a creative artist? The only drawback would be that the board is fragile and easy to chip. A great creative instrument.

Be gentle! May 01, 2009
By K. Minga I picked this up for a friend of mine in art school, and she absolutely loved it. It is easy to use, makes no mess unless you sling the water everywhere, and is a great little creative release. I can definitely see how some people see how this could be use for meditation and the like since everything melts away leaving a clean slate every time.
The one caveat of this product is that it is extremely fragile. Don't use anything that isn't a fairly soft brush on the "painting" surface. We had a few people over and noticed the next day that it had a scratch on it, and the scratch turned black like we had painted on it, and it never went away.
Otherwise, it is a total blast to use, so you should definitely pick one up!
